After a 12-year teaching career in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, I founded Diversity Role Models (DRM), a UK-based charity that tackles gender and sexuality-related bullying by encouraging empathy and critical thinking in young people.
Under my leadership DRM developed from the seed of an idea to a highly-respected organisation with national remit and influence. Schools, government and businesses sought my input around developing inclusive practices and challenging inequality.
I have delivered keynotes, facilitated panels and hosted events for Meridian, the Crusaders, NZRPA, ALPMA, Google, the Royal Bank of Scotland, Accenture, MI6, Goldman Sachs, the Armed Forces, the House of Commons and the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence, amongst many others.
I now enjoy working closely with organisations to help them embed inclusion into their cultural DNA to achieve greater innovation and commercial success, along with more diverse, happier and healthier teams. This involves executive coaching, facilitated workshops or speaking to entire staff teams to engage them in the inclusion journey. I also undertake discovery processes with clients to understand how their people truly feel about inclusion, what needs to change and how they perceive their employer’s commitment to it.
