Prior to joining Intepeople in 2005 my previous experience has included Director, General Management and Senior Management positions in the telecommunications, health, banking and financial services, energy and government sectors in New Zealand. As well as being Intepeople’s Managing Director, I am the Chair of the Nelson Building Society.
As an experienced Human Resources practitioner with qualifications and experience in law, business and industrial relations, I bring a strong employment law background, people management and commercial experience to the Intepeople consultancy team. I have been at the forefront of introducing leading edge organisation change programmes into the corporate world and specialise in working with senior management and Boards of Directors in the areas of executive/management coaching, business strategy, HR strategy, organisation design, restructuring and business performance improvement, mergers and acquisitions, and culture change.
Having been a legal and industrial advocate for the NZ Employers Federation and representing many companies in the private and public sector, I have the unique ability to traverse all the various disciplines of HR at both the strategic and operational levels, weaving the people asset strategies into business strategies, ensuring there is strong commercial alignment and that outcomes are business focused.
I believe that my experience and focus on business success rather than HR per se, combined with my ability to distil complex people issues into simple and practical business solutions is a point of difference I offer to clients.
Nelson born and raised; I love this little region of ours. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my kids and our wee grandies, popping over to our bach to enjoy the beach, getting into the garden and whacking a golf ball. I also love a good coffee!
