As individuals, we’re all unique and have different needs, and my HR journey has taught me that the same applies to companies. The most important asset a successful company can have is a great team of people with complementary skillsets and personalities. My passion and superpower is connecting the right people with the right companies and making sure they’re the perfect fit.
As an HR practitioner, I’ve been fortunate to work in the travel, tourism and hospitality sector in Auckland, London, Sydney and Queenstown, and have gained valuable insights over my 25+ year career. In particular, I believe effective team member engagement, aligned values and open communication are key to happiness and business success.
I am a long-time Queenstown local and understand the unique HR challenges that we face here in the south, from immigration issues to growing capability and retaining talent in the region. Despite the challenges, we’re privileged to live amongst strong, supportive communities in a beautiful part of the world so I’m confident we will always be a destination of choice to live, work and play.
Like many who came before us, my family and I fell in love with the stunning scenery and outdoor lifestyle of the south which can be as relaxed or adventurous as you want it to be. For us, the easy access to mountain biking and walking tracks in summer, ski fields in winter, and year-round local sports clubs and water-based activities make it a four-season paradise. We also love the local and international community vibe.
