The opportunity
We are seeking a Regional Manager to lead and support the NBS branch network and play a key role in growing their portfolio of personal, business and commercial clients. Reporting to the General Manager of Retail Banking & Client Experience, you will play a key role in translating strategic direction into operational success, driving growth, performance, and service excellence across our branch-based teams.

You will develop a strong and cohesive team culture that champions continuous improvement and empowers our people to deliver outstanding client experiences. Providing coaching and support to Branch Managers and other frontline leaders, you will ensure effective people development, clear accountability, and a strong compliance culture.

This role also plays a vital part in NBS’s growth, contributing to lending and funding performance, identifying business development opportunities, and strengthening the NBS brand through community engagement. Working closely with senior leaders, you will help shape and implement strategic and operational initiatives to ensure long-term success and sustainable community impact.

What you’ll bring to the role
You are an experienced banking leader with a track record of managing multi-site teams in a highly regulated environment. Your background will include a strong understanding of residential, business and commercial loans, and you’re confident managing complex client needs and transactions.

Beyond lending, you’ll play a key part in driving business development. Whether through third-party intermediaries, community engagement, or growing existing relationships, you’ll bring a strong commercial mindset and a proven history of achieving growth.

With excellent interpersonal skills, you will be able to coach and influence others, navigate complexity, and create a positive team environment. You are also confident in managing change, embedding compliance, and leading through data-driven insights and clear communication.

A Level 5 Certificate in Financial Services, is preferred, along with a sound knowledge of financial services regulation and lending frameworks.
