Te Āheinga/The Opportunity
Reporting to the Te Pou Whakahaere/Chief Executive, the General Manager Corporate is a pivotal leadership role responsible for ensuring the organisation has the systems, processes, governance, and capability needed to deliver on its strategic objectives.
Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will lead planning, governance, risk, corporate services, people and organisational performance, helping translate strategy into successful delivery across the Trust.
Ngā Kawenga Matua/Key Responsibilities
- Lead organisational planning and delivery of strategic priorities
- Oversee governance processes, board reporting and compliance
- Strengthen systems, policies and risk management
- Support budgeting, reporting and audit processes
- Lead people, capability and culture initiatives
- Oversee corporate services, contracts and administration
- Manage grants administration processes
- Contribute to strategic projects and organisational improvement
- Build strong relationships with iwi, staff and external stakeholders
Mōhou ake/About You
You are a capable and trusted leader who enjoys enabling others to succeed. You are comfortable balancing strategic thinking with operational delivery and understand the importance of strong governance, accountability and stakeholder relationships.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Senior leadership, operations or corporate management experience
- Governance and board support expertise
- Experience in planning, compliance and organisational systems
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Commercial and financial literacy
- The ability to manage multiple priorities
- An understanding of, or affinity with, kaupapa Māori environments
- Knowledge of tikanga Māori and te ao Māori principles
