Solander is a proudly New Zealand owned seafood company supplying premium seafood to supermarkets, wholesalers, distributors and hospitality customers throughout New Zealand.
They are looking for an experienced sales and administration professional to join their domestic sales team. This is a busy, hands-on role that sits at the heart of their operation, connecting customers with their production teams to ensure orders are delivered efficiently and opportunities to maximise sales are captured.
No two days are the same. You’ll work closely with customers, the factory and the coolstore to coordinate daily sales activity, manage fresh product availability, process orders, respond to customer enquiries and keep information flowing across the business. You’ll also have an eye for opportunity, identifying ways to promote products, move stock and support continued sales growth.
This role would suit someone who enjoys building strong customer relationships, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is equally comfortable on the phone with customers as they are managing the administration that keeps everything running smoothly.
About you
You’ll bring:
- Experience in sales, customer service or account support, ideally within a fast-moving environment.
- Strong administration and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Confidence communicating with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the initiative to identify sales opportunities.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
Experience in the seafood, foodservice, FMCG or hospitality sectors would be an advantage, although we’re ultimately looking for someone who enjoys working with customers, takes ownership of their work and contributes positively to a collaborative team.
If you’re looking for a varied role where you’ll play an important part in supporting customers, coordinating daily sales activity and helping keep the business running smoothly, we’d love to hear from you.
