Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Digital Lead, you will take ownership of IT infrastructure readiness across a significant multi-site programme of work during a minimum 9 month fixed term. You will get ahead of infrastructure needs including connectivity, networking, servers, hardware and wireless while working proactively to keep the programme moving and giving the business confidence in what’s ahead. Partnering with external software developers, hardware suppliers and telecommunications providers, you will bring the credibility and know-how to shape strong outcomes. You will ensure mobile devices, laptops and servers work together seamlessly across every site, championing solutions that are right-sized and genuinely embraced by the business, with strong cyber security embedded throughout. Working closely with branch teams and super users, you will be a trusted, go-to presence translating technical detail into plain language and making sure the business is fully equipped as new systems come to life.
Your Skills and Experience
You will bring a genuine, hands-on IT infrastructure background covering connectivity, networking, servers, hardware and wireless systems. You will have worked on large-scale systems implementations in complex, multi-site environments, and you bring a track record of delivering IT projects on time across dispersed operations. A natural planner, you anticipate infrastructure constraints before they become blockers. Confident engaging with external vendors and telecommunications providers, you have the credibility to push back when it matters and you’re comfortable translating technical issues into plain language defaulting to keeping people informed rather than working in isolation. Energetic, self-directed and low ego, you bring a digitally savvy, curious mindset with genuine enthusiasm for emerging technologies including AI-enabled solutions.
