About SCAPE Public Art
SCAPE Public Art is a charitable trust that has been facilitating ambitious contemporary public art in Ōtautahi Christchurch since 1998.
  
SCAPE brings together artists, industry, local government, donors, supporters and communities to commission and deliver free-to-view contemporary public art that enriches public spaces and contributes to the cultural identity of Ōtautahi Christchurch. To date, SCAPE has gifted 19 major public artworks to the city. Every year, SCAPE presents temporary artworks and delivers education and public programmes.

SCAPE Public Art is seeking an experienced Trustee to join its Board. This is an opportunity to contribute to the strategic leadership of a nationally recognised arts organisation and help shape the future of contemporary public art in Ōtautahi Christchurch.
  
The Board is seeking an experienced governance leader with strategic insight, sound judgement and strong relationship-building skills. You’ll bring well-established networks, the ability to influence at senior levels and a commitment to helping SCAPE achieve its long-term ambitions.
  
This position will appeal to individuals with:

  • Significant governance experience
  • Strong relationships across philanthropy, business and/or the wider community
  • Experience contributing to long-term organisational strategy
  • An interest in the role of contemporary public art in civic life
  • Willingness to attend and support SCAPE events beyond regular Board meetings

As a Trustee, you will play an active role in Board leadership by contributing to high level governance discussions and strategic decision making while supporting SCAPE’s continued growth and impact.
