Head of Engineering – Structural

The Role
Based in either Christchurch, Nelson or Wānaka and reporting to the Directors, this is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for the technical and commercial leadership of the Structural Engineering team. You will provide oversight of daily operations, project delivery and team capability development, while actively supporting business growth through client relationship management and commercial opportunity identification.
  
You will ensure structural engineering projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard, working closely with internal and external stakeholders, providing leadership and mentoring your team while fostering a collaborative, high performing and inclusive culture.
  
Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will have leadership experience within structural or multi-disciplinary engineering environments, including managing operational delivery. You will demonstrate commercial acumen with the ability to manage workflow, allocate resources effectively and deliver projects profitably while maintaining high technical quality.
  
Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills are essential, as is the ability to identify and grow business opportunities, including activating existing client relationships. Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status and a recognised tertiary engineering qualification are required.
