The Role
Based in Christchurch, this newly created role is an exciting opportunity to work alongside highly respected Senior and Principal Planners on a wide variety of impactful projects including multi-unit residential developments, commercial and industrial projects, heritage developments, hotels, and large-scale urban developments.
You will play an active role across the full project lifecycle, supporting and preparing resource consent applications and reports, undertaking site assessments and due diligence, assisting with project and consent management, liaising with councils and consultants, and contributing to assessments of environmental effects and broader planning processes.
Skills and Experience
You may already be working within a consultancy environment, or perhaps you’ve built a solid foundation within a council planning role and are now looking to broaden your experience and work on more commercially focused projects and looking for the next step in your career.
You will bring a relevant tertiary qualification and a sound understanding of New Zealand planning processes and the Resource Management Act. Experience in land use and development planning is essential.
You will be a strong communicator who enjoys building relationships and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment. Along with strong written skills and attention to detail, you will bring a practical approach to problem solving, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to learn and develop.
