We are currently seeking an experienced and results driven Finance Manager to step into an interim contractor role for up to 6 months. This is an exciting opportunity for a CA qualified professional based in Nelson to bring their expertise to a dynamic organisation and ensure smooth financial operations during a transitional period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of monthly reports, annual accounts, and year-end processes.
- Ensure effective management of cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting, and provide valuable financial analysis to assist with decision-making.
- Supervise a small finance team, including payables, receivables, and treasury functions, ensuring efficiency and adherence to deadlines.
- Oversee tax compliance and liaise with external tax advisors to manage any tax risks.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, banking partners, and tax advisors.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Must be CA qualified.
- A Bachelor of Commerce or other relevant degree.
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager with expertise in IFRS RDR-compliant reporting, financial analysis, and balance sheet management.
- Strong experience in cashflow forecasting, treasury management, and managing foreign exchange/interest rate risks.
- Ability to lead and develop a team, ensuring smooth operation of the finance function.
- Previous experience in property management is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
