The Role:
As Principal of Kaitangata School, you will lead a passionate team of educators in delivering a high quality, student centred curriculum across five classrooms. You will set the strategic direction of the school and ensure smooth day to day operations, including staff management, curriculum delivery, health and safety, finance and property.
  
Working closely with a supportive, future focused Board, you will help shape and implement the school’s vision and strategic plan, embedding the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Te Ao Māori into everyday school life. A key part of the role will be building strong, collaborative relationships with staff, students, whānau, iwi and the wider community to create an environment that supports growth and achievement.
  
Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced educational leader capable of balancing strategic vision with effective school management. You will have proven experience in inspiring and supporting staff, fostering strong relationships with students and the community and leading with integrity and authenticity. Strong curriculum knowledge is essential, as well as a demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive school culture.
  
As Principal, you will champion Kaitangata School’s “KAI KIDS” values, which are central to the school’s culture and help students grow into successful citizens.
