Christchurch based and reporting to the Managing Director, we are looking to appoint a Senior Systems Engineer to provide technical expertise and support to primarily SME customers. This role forms a critical part of the senior team, which is jointly accountable for building capability and improving the performance not only of our internal team, but our loyal customers and their teams. Other responsibilities include working closely with sales and mentoring the talented bunch of engineers within our Christchurch service delivery team.

Skills and Experience
This broad and varied role requires a skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer with a natural talent for establishing effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders in an open, collaborative and approachable manner. A key element of this role is to identify and understand IT requirements and problem solve to deliver effective solutions. You will have a proven ability to build trust and work confidently with customers.
You will have advanced trouble-shooting and fault investigation expertise, as well as a security first approach to design and implementation. You will understand the TCP/IP networking stack including wireless, advanced Office 365 management including Exchange, SharePoint and Teams. Also required is advanced Windows Desktop and Server administration along with automation and scripting experience.
You will have the ability to analyse and make robust decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risks, implications and cost. Additionally, you will have proven mentoring experience to develop and support System Engineers and Technicians as well as the ability to contribute to product development and assist in growing our product offering.
A relevant tertiary qualification in computer science or related discipline and significant industry experience and knowledge is imperative.
