Southfuels Limited was established in 2006 with the aim of enabling a wider option of bulk fuel delivery and distribution to the Primary Sector in New Zealand. In 2008, on the back of successful growth in the South Island, Southfuels launched its sub brand Northfuels in the North Island. The company is now a national bulk distributor of fuel to the Primary Sector and utilises a sustainable business model to provide simple end to end solutions for customers from Kaitaia to Bluff. This role is located in Christchurch. Our preferred candidate will either live locally or relocate for this role.
Working with the senior leadership team and reporting to the CEO you will be a confident and dynamic Marketing Manager working closely with the National Sales team to consistently achieve profitable and sustainable organic growth exceeding the industry average. As a leader and custodian of the company brands, communications, community/customer engagement and loyalty programmes you will lead and support a customer centric and high-performance culture. The primary focus is for optimal growth, profitability and sustainability of the Southfuels brand which is achieved through market leading initiatives and astute analysis and financial management including pricing, yield and margin.
What you will bring to the journey
You will have proven extensive marketing experience at an intermediate level and be able to build effective relationships internally and externally. You will be innovative, strategic, analytical and have experience developing market leading sales collateral, marketing and promotional activity. You will effectively communicate information and ideas through various mediums including relevant emerging communication channels including a well-developed understanding of all online related activities. Additionally, you will have a successful track record with consumer insights, stakeholder and media management and in support of your outstanding commercial acumen you will hold a relevant tertiary qualification.
Previous experience as a Product Manager within the FMCG industry is preferred and knowledge of the fuel industry or primary sector would be advantageous but not essential. A strong affinity, understanding and connection with Rural New Zealand is essential.
