Reporting to the Chair, you will curate and lead the value proposition for Te Hono ensuring it meets stakeholder needs and expectations. In doing so, you will provide management across all activities relating to Te Hono including marketing, sales, communication, event and programme curation while providing inspirational leadership and direction for your small team and stakeholders. You will innovatively and creatively develop and deliver Te Hono’s strategy to align with its vision and priorities while maintaining and enhancing its reputation of disruptive thinking. In addition, you will foster positive internal and external relationships to increase the loyalty and grow strong stakeholder relationships, while improving the value proposition of Te Hono to New Zealand Inc.
This role is a Parental Leave cover and will be a 12-month fixed term contract.
Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will build trusted relationships internally and externally while being able to effectively communicate information and ideas via various communication channels. You will likely have a strong marketing background, experience leading and executing large scale projects and events, have a good understanding of NZ Maori business, stakeholder and media management, and be able to demonstrate commercial acumen. Sound commercial judgement, excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder relationship skills will be key to your success in this role. Experience in the primary sector will be favourable, but not essential.
