Active Health is a leading Allied Health company with clinics in Christchurch, North Canterbury and Waikato. Active Health provides a wide range of allied health specialities and is a ‘one stop shop’ for all health and wellbeing requirements, injury prevention and treatment adopting a multidisciplinary business approach with physiotherapy, podiatry, nutrition, osteopathy, fitness and mental skills. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established company that is offering a much sought after, part time position with flexible hours (10 -15 hrs per week).
Responsibilities of this role include:
- Processing of the fortnightly payroll for approximately 30 staff
- Monthly contractor pays
- Monthly financial reporting
- Budgeting, reconciliations, accounts receivable and payable, PAYE, GST
- Practice statistics reporting across all clinics
- Review of financial and reporting processes
- Supporting the business in evaluating, advising on, developing and executing new business opportunities
- Managing the finance and administration functions, enhancing financial methodologies and procedures
Due to the autonomous nature of the role successful candidates will be self managing, have solid accounting knowledge to trial balance and strong computer skills, in particular Xero and MS Excel.
You will have a demonstrated proactive approach to problem solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills and be well organised with good time management, combined with a flexible work ethic. A relevant qualification would be advantageous.
