This role is likely to be an approximately 6 month contract,  20 hours per week, but up to 30 hours maybe required initially for a short-term onboarding period. The RoleThe responsibilities of this role include processing of the fortnightly payroll for 90 staff using MYOB software, monthly financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, accounts receivable and payable, PAYE, GST, and preparation of accounts from P & L to Trial Balance stage. There are also some general administrative and IT related tasks. Due to the autonomous nature we are looking a self-managing accountant who has solid accounting knowledge to trial balance and strong computer skills, in particular MYOB and MS Excel.You will also:Support the business in evaluating, advising on, developing and executing new business opportunitiesManage the finance and administration functions enhancing financial methodologies and procedures Skills and ExperienceYou will have a demonstrated proactive approach to problem solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be well organised with good time management skills combined with a flexible work ethic.
