Amuri Irrigation Company Limited (AIC) is a farmer owned company which operates three irrigation schemes in the Amuri Basin, North Canterbury with a vision for thriving agribusinesses and a healthy environment. With an asset value of over NZ$151 million, their role has evolved from water supplier to one where they support farmers to improve environmental practices and actively explore ways to enhance water quality. AIC currently has 131 shareholders and provides water to over 28,000 hectares of land via a modern pressurised pipe network.
