Nelson Pine Industries Ltd operates a large modern Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) production line alongside three Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) lines at its Richmond site. They have built an excellent reputation for the quality and consistency of their products, reliability of supply, sustainable low environmental impact management practices and commitment to product and production development.
Nelson Pine Industries are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead the mechanical maintenance requirements across their LVL plant. This role is responsible for ensuring plant equipment is maintained to a high standard, leading preventative maintenance planning and scheduling, coordinating planned shutdown activities and supporting ongoing improvements across the operation.
Working closely with the wider Engineering and Production teams, you will lead a small team of mechanical fitters and engage staff and contractors to complete maintenance activities, breakdown responses and improvement projects. You will also play an important role in identifying opportunities to improve plant reliability, supporting maintenance systems and contributing to the ongoing success of the LVL operation.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced mechanical professional who enjoys a mix of technical problem solving, planning and leadership. A trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, ideally with experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, would be an advantage. Key to your success will be your ability to lead and motivate a team, build strong working relationships across the business and take ownership of maintenance performance within your area of responsibility. With a strong analytical approach, excellent organisational skills and a commitment to health and safety, you will enjoy working in a hands-on environment where your contribution makes a real difference.
This is a rare opportunity to grow your career with a successful global business. Nelson Pine Industries offers a competitive remuneration package including fully subsidised health insurance.
