Now, we’re looking for a commercially sharp, globally minded sales leader to help take Lumina Lamb to the next level.
The Opportunity
This is not a traditional sales role.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll lead the global growth strategy for Lumina Lamb’s expanding portfolio across international markets, channels, and customers. Working alongside Alliance Group’s international sales teams, you’ll identify new opportunities, grow strategic partnerships, and elevate the brand across both B2B and consumer-led channels.
From premium retailers and distributors to foodservice and export partners, you’ll build relationships that shape how the world experiences premium New Zealand lamb.
You’ll combine commercial acumen, market insight, and authentic storytelling to unlock growth while protecting the integrity and premium positioning of the brand.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Driving international sales growth across key global markets
- Building and managing strategic export partnerships & identify new commercial opportunities and channels
- Lead, coach and support a team of in-market Business Development Managers
- Leading market development initiatives and customer engagement with the marketing team
- Representing Lumina Lamb at international trade events and industry forums
- Working closely with farmers, processors, and global customers to strengthen the value chain
- Using market intelligence and customer insights to shape strategy
- Supporting the continued evolution of a premium global food brand and storytelling
What We’re Looking For
You’ll likely come from a senior sales or commercial role within premium food, beverage, agribusiness, FMCG, or luxury consumer products.
You understand international markets and know how to build enduring commercial relationships across premium retail, foodservice, and distribution channels. You’re commercially sharp, relationship-driven, and confident engaging with everyone from global customers and distributors through to chefs, retailers, and farming partners.
Most importantly, you’ll bring the ability to combine commercial performance with authentic brand leadership.
You’ll ideally offer:
- Proven experience in international sales and market development
- Strong relationships across premium foodservice and/or retail channels
- Experience within export-led food, beverage, or agribusiness sectors
- Commercial negotiation and strategic partnership capability
- Experience growing premium brands internationally
- The ability to operate strategically while remaining highly hands-on
- A genuine passion for agriculture, food provenance, and premium New Zealand products
Experience across North America, Asia, Europe, or premium international food channels would be highly regarded.
