The Role
Based in Christchurch and reporting to the Director/Principal Planner, this role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative and flat structure with a high degree of autonomy. You will manage a diverse portfolio of planning projects, ensuring delivery is on time, on budget, and achieves strong outcomes for clients.
Current and upcoming work includes fast-track consenting processes, plan changes, large-scale developments, and complex commercial projects requiring strategic thinking and strong stakeholder management skills. Alongside project delivery, you will contribute through mentoring, peer review, and helping
support the ongoing growth of the business.
Skills and Experience
You will be an experienced planner from a consultancy or similar environment with strong experience across resource management planning and complex development projects. Experience in land use consenting, plan change processes, Assessments of Environmental Effects (AEE), and preparing evidence for hearings is essential.
You will be commercially minded and relationship-focused, with the ability to balance technical expertise with practical solutions. You will enjoy taking ownership, working collaboratively, and operating effectively in a fast-paced environment.
