Christchurch City Choir carries a proud tradition of bringing both sublime symphonic masterpieces and charming, eclectic choral works to our city.  Their repertoire spans the full spectrum of human emotion from the timeless majesty of Handel’s Messiah and Beethoven’s Ode to Joy, to the haunting beauty of modern masterpieces like Karl Jenkins’ The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace. The Choir has a long and proud history of contributing to the musical fabric of Christchurch stretching back over 125 years and its concert programme of 3 – 4 concerts per year often involves partnering with organisations such as the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra and Woolston Brass. Previous performances have attracted soloists of international acclaim, including, Simon O’Neill and Dame Malvina Major. For more information, please visit:  http://www.citychoir.co.nz
