This is a great opportunity to step into an intermediate-level role where you can build your skills while being part of a supportive and down-to-earth team.
The Role
In this role you’ll manage a portfolio of clients, working across accounting, taxation, and general business matters, while collaborating closely with Partners and the wider team.
Day to day, you’ll prepare GST and PAYE returns, annual financial statements, and income tax returns, while supporting clients with their Xero records and business needs. You’ll have regular client interaction, handling queries, supporting key deliverables, and building trusted relationships, all while delivering work to a high standard within agreed timeframes and budgets.
You’ll also contribute to a positive team environment, supporting those around you and representing the firm professionally. It’s a varied role that offers responsibility, development, and the chance to grow within a team that values both quality and a good working culture.
Skills and Experience
You may already have some experience within a chartered accounting environment, or be at that stage where you’re ready to take the next step and grow your capability. A foundation in preparing financial statements and returns is important, along with some exposure to client interaction and managing your own workload.
Confidence working with systems such as Xero will be valuable, along with a willingness to keep learning as legislation, technology and client needs evolve. You’ll be someone who takes pride in producing accurate work, communicates well, and enjoys being part of a team that supports each other.
Whether you’re early in your career looking for a supportive step up, considering a move to the region, or simply ready for a change, this is an opportunity to join a successful firm and work alongside a great group of people who value both professionalism and having a bit of fun along the way.
