Accounts Administrator
We are seeking a capable and detail-focused Accounts Administrator to step into a key contract role, supporting a busy and collaborative team. This is an immediate opportunity, ideally suited to someone who can hit the ground running and bring strong experience across invoicing and accounts processes.
This is an ongoing contract role, based in Christchurch (city centre), and is office-based, working closely alongside the wider team. Hours are flexible, with 30-40 hours per week available depending on the successful candidate’s needs.
About the Role
This position plays a critical role in keeping financial operations running smoothly, with a strong focus on project-based invoicing and debtor management. You will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication across all processes. You will be working closely with internal teams and external providers to support the smooth running of all financial activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Project-based invoicing using Projectworks
- Debtor management and follow-up
- Supporting financial reporting processes
- Coordinating payroll data for processing via an external provider including data exports and liaison with staff
About You
You will be a confident and capable accounts professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and taking ownership of your work.
You will bring:
- Proven experience in an Accounts Administrator or similar role
- Strong experience with project time recording and invoicing systems (Projectworks experience essential)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills and a personable, team-focused approach
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work proactively
