Reporting to the Nelson Marina Management Board, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership, operational excellence, and delivery of major infrastructure and property projects spanning berth upgrades, new mixed-use facilities and environmental enhancements. You’ll work closely with the Board, stakeholders, and the community to deliver a world-class marina experience that balances commercial success, environmental responsibility, and customer satisfaction.
We are seeking an experienced leader with proven expertise in capital project delivery, resource planning, strong financial acumen and understand business case development and the financial implications of capital expansion, ensuring projects are both visionary and viable.
You’ll be a confident and visible leader, capable of building trust and mana within the community, council, and stakeholder groups. Your ability to engage meaningfully with iwi, local business networks, and the wider public will help position Nelson Marina as a valued and future-focused asset.
Ideally, you’ll bring a well-established network or the ability to build strong connections within the Te Tauihu business community. Preference will be given to candidates with property or infrastructure development/delivery experience, with a hands-on approach.
