The Christchurch City Mission is a well known Christian Social Services organisation helping those in need to become more self sufficient in the community, and improve the quality of their lives. Reporting to the Business Operations Manager, and working within a small team, you will be responsible for securing essential revenue funding from businesses and commercial organisations through developing mutually beneficial relationships with key representatives within these organisations. You will know how to create and secure revenue generating value propositions which mutually reward the parties involved. The corporate funding revenue is a necessary part of the broader fundraising strategy to meet capital and operational requirements of the Christchurch City Mission.
Your Skills and Experience
To achieve in this role you will have a proven track record in successful revenue gathering activities through a prominent sales or fundraising background, or experience in the professional services sector. A natural networker with strong local connections, you will gain satisfaction from building lasting and rewarding stakeholder relationships in the corporate sponsorship space and other sectors as required. You will be a self-starter who is able to operate autonomously as well as part of the team. Excellent planning, reporting and influencing skills will be as important as tenacity, perseverance and creativity. You will operate with a high level of empathy and professionalism and model these qualities across all aspects of the role.
